Press Release: First Annual Phobia Relief Day, May 8th, Features Live Events in New York City and Online Access

New York City—On May 8, people who suffer the shame, fear and stress that accompanies phobias for such everyday things as snakes, clowns, spiders, social anxiety and dentists—can get relief as part of the first annual Phobia Relief Day. The brainchild of internationally bestselling author Kalliope Barlis, the special day will be marked by in-person phobia relief sessions in New York City as well as training that can be accessible anywhere in the world through the internet.

Barlis plans to conduct four hour-long phobia relief seminars at New York City’s George Billis Gallery, 525 W. 26th St. Participants can choose from one of four sessions on May 8, which will take place at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Tickets are required to attend the sessions in which Barlis will explain how people can shrink their fears, shed stress and build their best lives ever. Some volunteers will have their phobias diminished in front of the audience. Barlis will use the same techniques her mentor, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) founder Dr. Richard Bandler, used to rid Good Morning America personality Michael Strahan of his snake phobia.

The cost to attend one of the in-person sessions is $45. The price includes an autographed copy of Barlis’ new paperback, Phobia Relief: From Fear to Freedom.

For those who cannot attend the New York events, Barlis will be offering an opportunity to watch a recorded session onlineduring Phobia Relief Day or whenever they desire thereafter. The fee to participate virtually is $25. Included is free access to the audio version of Phobia Relief: From Fear to Freedom
